In Memory of

Thom Carlson

Ministry Pastor

Thom was born in 1966 to a Los Angeles County Sheriff and a homemaker. His father was called into the ministry and has served as a pastor for over 30 years. The family’s first church was in Montana where Thom grew-up. He developed a love for the outdoors, hunting, and motorcycle riding etc., and worked on a large cattle ranch for several years. At 17 he entered the Army and served for 7 years all over the world.
It was during this time that he met the most incredible woman in the world named Sheri; he married that incredible woman in 1989.

After leaving the military, he enjoyed a career as a heavy equipment mechanic and served in several capacities as a volunteer at RLFC after first attending in 1998.
Thom’s passions included riding motorcycles and being outdoors but these don’t even compare to his #1 calling: to see people realize how many incredible and awe-inspiring gifts, talents and abilities God has built inside of them and to see how God will use them in significant ways.
Thom was hired as Ministry Pastor in 2004. He loved to serve, to lead, to preach and to be part of a dynamic and incredible family where he gets to witness miracles every day!

Thom went back home to our Lord in February 2010 after he was in a motorcycle accident.
