Momentum is Here!

It started as a spark. Fueled by God’s passion for us. Jesus, God Himself, demonstrated compassion, service, sacrifice and generosity in an unprecedented show of love. That spark spread to the early church, and world transformation began. The early church was marked by radical faith as well as sacrificial generosity. Exactly what they had seen in their Savior. For 20 centuries now the church has brought a message of hope, love and restoration to the local community. Everyone reading this text has been impacted by the generations of Jesus followers who have come before us. We are part of that history, that legacy.

It is now time for us to be change agents in our community. We will not be a generation that stops the momentum that has come our way. In fact, we will increase it. We will love more deeply, forgive more quickly, live more passionately and give more generously, because we are more aware than ever what God has done for us.

That brings us to our Momentum campaign. The two-fold goal of Momentum is to UNITE the RLFC community around God’s vision for us as well as INSPIRE greater generosity so we can accomplish that vision.

UNITE…to remind us all that Jesus has a greater vision and purpose for us. There is tremendous power when we, as Jesus followers, gather around God’s heart and vision.

INSPIRE…to remind us that we together can make a difference. God has given us a great challenge and is counting on us to follow through. Generosity has always changed the world and is the mark of authentic Christ followers. Each of us can make a great difference, THAT is inspiring.

Through the Momentum campaign you will hear about many lives being changed as well as the many ministries and volunteers who make it happen. You will be given the opportunity to be a part of something big. Please examine these pages carefully and with joyful gratitude and expectant faith consider your part in Momentum. Others have given so your life could be changed…now it’s your turn.
